Sail On 2020 –

We cannot say we’re sad to see you go!

As we head into November and Thanksgiving, it’s a good time to put the challenges of COVID and Sally behind us and focus on the things we’re thankful for:

Although COVID guidelines did not allow outreach sails this year, we did add an enthusiastic new outreach partner -the Argos for Autism –a group of UWF students with autism diagnoses. They can’t wait to go sailing next year!

We were able to award 11 scholarships for summer sailing camp, along with kits for each of the 11 Milk and Honey kids who learned to swim prior to their week!

Satori offered 3 scholarships for Jr. Sailing!

Captains Bob Kriegel and Linda Thompson held 3 Intro to Sailing classes for PYC members, adding to the number of sailors with each class-Congrats to all Grads!

Our Sail Master, Don Sutton, has headed up the boat maintenance committee, scheduled maintenance and completed much of it himself, launched and retrieved rental boats, provided his own equipment for rentals, put together a Hurricane Response Team and plan, and spent a night in January pumping out Second Wind.Thank you, Sail Master, for your time and incredible care of Satori’s boats!
