Our young partners from Boys & Girls’ Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Seastars Aquatics and FSU CARD receive STEM lessons prior to and during their sails. These young groups discover that if they can learn how to navigate and steer a big sailboat, they can steer their own lives toward a brighter future. Our adult partners from Dose of the Coast (family member with cancer), Wounded Warriors, Order of the Purple Heart, and front-line nurses receive an afternoon respite, leaving their stress behind for a natural sense of well-being, recharging, and ready to face their everyday challenges again. Satori also offers sailing camp scholarships for disadvantaged children in our community, removing financial barriers to learn the skills of sailing, lessons that will have life-long impacts to these youth.
