Kids’ Pinfish Tournament: Saturday, May 10th, 2025 Kids fish 9am-1pm

The Annual Pete Moore Fishing Rodeo is All About the KIDS!

In honor of our Title Sponsor, Pete Moore Chevrolet, Satori has modified the Pete Moore Fishing Rodeo to pay tribute to the legacy of Pete Moore, to share his love of fishing with the next generation, his love of our beautiful waterways and giving back to the community. The fishing tournament has evolved to focus our efforts on The Kids’ Pinfish Tournament and education stations so area youth can learn more about our waterways, the fish that inhabit them, and how to protect those habitats. We are excited about our Annual Pete Moore Fishing Rodeo and the changes we have made.

Each year, we have witnessed area youth, who have never fished before, get “hooked” on the sport of fishing and show the natural curiosity kids have when they learn something new. What other kinds of fish live in our local waterways? What do they eat and where do they live?  We will have stations to answer these and so many other questions, to ensure all participants depart with a new-found wonder and respect for our incredible water community.  This event isn’t just about fishing, it is a fun day of education as well. Onsite, we will have “adventure stations” from area experts in marine and environmental science that includes the Pensacola & Perdido Bays Estuary Program, The Escambia County Sea Grant office, FL Fish and Wildlife, The Healthy Gulf Alliance, The Escambia County Marine Resources Division, The Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, and the Bream Fisherman’s Association with their mobile lab.

The proceeds from the ads and sponsorships will be used to continue and expand the mission of the PYC Satori Foundation, steering our community’s youth to a brighter tomorrow, through education, enlightenment, sailing and marine science adventures.

Satori also provides scholarships to area youth unable to afford summer sailing camps at PYC. Additionally, Satori will provide swimming scholarships so that area youth can learn life-changing and potentially life-saving skills. This is a critical skillset for all youth in a community surrounded by water.

If you would like your business to be part of this event and the PYC Satori Foundation,

please contact us for sponsorship information or an ad in our rodeo book.

It’s a fun way to support these programs for area youth!

The Fish FL license plates help fund rods and reels for community youth fishing clinics around the state. We thank Fish FL for their donations of the rods and reels for our annual Kids' Pinfish Tournament.
